Fischer Motorsports is proud to announce that in October 2011, we took the standing mile record for Mustang bodied cars at the Texas Mile. The owner and driver, Andrew MacDonald, made it look easy, setting the record at 215.3mph in his street legal 2008 Ford Shelby GT500. Since the vehicle did not have an 8pt cage installed, the maximum allowed speed was 215mph for vehicles with a 4pt roll bar.
The Fischer Motorsports built Stage 2 Twin Turbo Shelby GT500, consistently put down over 1200 whp during the mile long runs, and remained healthy all weekend, largely due to the proper tuning provided by Fischer Motorsports, and the tremendous engine and safety control allowed by the MoTeC engine management system.
We congratulate Andrew on his achievement, and look forward to helping you with your future build. Please contact us at www.FischerMotorsports.com, to discuss your next project!
Fast is relative...we push harder, so you can go quicker." --
